Yikes.
I went and had a nice, long shower, not thinking that anyone would be put into my room so quickly. I came out to see the bed beside mine all mussed, when before I went in, it was beautifully made.
It looked a little weird, to have such a messed bed, with no one in it. I went to the lounge to switch up my book (I'm going through these things faster than I care to admit), and when I didn't see anyone there, I was even more confused. Walking back to my room, I came face to face with Roommate #1's mother. My heart sank. OH NOooooooo.... Please no, please no, please don't make me be stuck with that girl again. OMG.
And then she turned into the room before mine. The nurses switched out the messy bed, for the clean bed, so that she didn't have to be put back in with me. Hallelujah! I did think I heard some clanging and banging while I was in the shower. They remembered that I had been really uncomfortable with the whole scenario of her mother's rude behavior, and took mercy on me :)
I found my chance to ask to be added to the waiting list for a private room. The charge nurse, bless her heart, said that she would try to get me in to the next one available, provided no one with pre-e or some other stress related pregnancy complication needed it before me. She said I'd been here long enough to deserve it. I get that those women need to be in as quiet a place as possible. I will be patient. For now, I'm just so, so grateful they didn't stick that gross woman back in here with me. I think I would have cried.
